Putting The Competition “On-The-Spot” - Most reflectorless instruments use a laser for distance measurement, with varying spot quality over distance. Topcon's GPT-3000LW uses the industries most advanced, highly focused infrared beam for a very stable, sharp spot that is less resistant to “spreading” over distance.

The most important part of the measurement beam is its unique “pulse” technology. A pulse beam emits timed flashes of laser light. These flashes (or pulses) allow the laser to discern objects that may be close to the path of the point you are shooting. The ability to reliably measure to building corners or an object through a chain link fence is as easy as point and measure.
